Apart from general urological services, Urology UMMC is a centre with capability to provide the full range of sub-specialised urological services like minimally invasive surgery, renal transplantation, endourology and stone management, functional urology with urodynamics service and reconstructive urology surgery.

The endeavour to become a flagship urological services hospital in Malaysia has made UMMC a leading centre where pure laparoscopic donor nephrectomy is performed for living renal transplant. Minimally invasive methods are also used extensively in our hospital in managing our patients with kidney cancer, prostate cancer and bladder cancer.

With the fast-paced evolution of endourology services, we in UMMC, have also kept abreast with the using the mini-PCNL technique to treat stones in the kidney with less morbidity. This is supplemented with state-of-the-art ESWL and laser lithotripsy facilities.

Oncological services form the backbone of the clinical work that we provide with regular combined tumour board meetings and clinics with our colleagues from the oncology, radiology and pathology departments.
