Clinical Services

The services available are:

1. Management (medical and surgical) of prostatic diseases
2. Uro-gynaecological services
3. Uro-oncological expertise
4. Stone disease management including percutaneous nephrolithotomy, uretero-renoscopy and ESWL services
5. Laparoscopic urological surgery
6. Management of male infertility
7. Management of erectile dysfunction

• Combined clinic with rehabilitation unit in managing urological problems and care of the bladder in patient with spinal cord injury.
• Provide urodynamic services including video-urodynamics. This has provided better understanding, assessment and improved bladder management in patients with  lower urinary tract symptoms such as bladder outlet obstruction, urinary incontinence and overactive bladder.
   urinary incontinence, painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, overactive bladder and detrusor underactivity.
• In collaboration with Department of Nephrology, we provide kidney transplantation services. We also provide surgical and urological support to CAPD service by managing Tenchkoff catheter related surgery.
• To provide expert urological services to other referring units in University Malaya Medical Centre, and to serve as the referral centre for urology in Malaysia.
